EDIT: Man, I log in to find that the submission date for the contest has been extended. -facepalms- And this was after I killed myself to get it done by tomorrow, too... OTL Oh well.
Another edit: If this has any similarities to anyone else's entry, I'm sorry. This came out of my mind alone and any similarities probably just come from that we're all drawing about the same people. After posting this I read through some of the other entries and I just figured I should say something about that. I've been working on mine for about a month and I honestly came up with it myself. Just had to get that out there in case it was an issue.
Here's my last-minute entry for *Teh-Akuma-Yoru's birthday contest xD The theme was "try to figure out what my crazy friends are going to be planning for my birthday" so I decided... Jake convinced them all to cosplay and surprise Yoru at the door. He even convinced Hitomi to join in. And of course, Yoru had a heart attack when he saw it xD Dei obviously wasn't pleased that he had to dress up, of course.
I tried to keep Yoru and his friends as in-character as I could. If any part of it is hard to read, it's probably because I had to switch fonts halfway through, so I'll decipher any if it's unreadable xD Also, as for the costumes... hopefully it was obvious enough (I tried D8) but Hitomi was supposed to be Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, Jake was Naruto, Blake was Ichigo from Bleach, Dei was Ash Ketchum and Cody was Link. (Also, I feel Yoru's pain about drawing females. I honestly cannot draw them at all o_e sorry about that, Hitomi.)
Today's actually his birthday and the contest deadline ends tomorrow, so... yay, I finished just in time! 8D...eh
Aw man, I totally do not have the attention span for a comic strip. I'm so relieved that I finally finished.
If you haven't checked out his comics, you totally should. He's an awesome artist with a great sense of humor and is really great at expressions. I made this into an expression exercise for me because his expressions are inspirational xD
